Posting Jobs with Job Board Posting Tools

Release: 16.3

View As PDF

Overview

iCIMS offers the ability for clients to connect their iCIMS Talent Acquisition Suite to job board posting providers for recruitment advertising distribution. Through these providers, organizations will have the ability to discover the right job boards and media options to effectively communicate with active and passive candidates.

The steps and features described throughout this guide are accessible only by users with a subscription to a job board posting provider integrated with their iCIMS Talent Platform.

Tip: Make sure that you are logged in to your job board posting account in order to transfer jobs from your iCIMS Talent Acquisition Suite to your job board posting provider.

Warning: All job postings must be brought over from the iCIMS Talent Platform in order for your organization to receive tracking and sourcing information, where available. Jobs must be posted to one or more Career Portals prior to being sent to a job board posting provider. For more information about posting a job to Career Portals, review the Posting a Job to Career Portals article.

Transferring a Job Posting from the iCIMS Talent Platform to a Job Board Posting Tool

Warning: If your organization has approval processes configured, job postings must be approved in the iCIMS system before they can be transferred to a job board posting tool. Refer to the Understanding and Initiating the Job Approval Process article for more information on the job approval process.
  1. Navigate to the desired Job Profile, and select the Advertise Tab. Then, select the Post to Job Boards Panel.
  2. Select the Posting Center button.
  3. Click the Post button beside the section of the Job Board Posting Center popup that reflects your vendor of choice, and select a Career Portal from the Redirect to dropdown. (The Career Portal that you select from the Redirect to dropdown is the Career Portal that candidates will be directed to when they choose to apply to your job posting from a job board.)
  4. Click the Save button to finalize your post.
  5. The Web Post Summary pop up will display, confirming that the job has been posted. Select the relevant link to launch the posting process through the job board posting tool.
Tips:
  • The job title and description transferred from the iCIMS Talent Platform may display in the job board posting tool. If this information is incorrect, please contact the job board posting tool vendor's support.
  • iCIMS Technical Support can enable a field (Company Name (Integration)) on a Location Profile (sometimes called a Company Profile) within the Platform that can alter the Company Name displayed within job board posting tools in reference to a particular job. Please refer to the following article for additional information: Understanding and Creating Location Profiles.
  • Jobs must be unposted manually from job board posting vendors. To unpost a job, navigate to the Job Boards Posting Center (steps 1 through 2, above), and click the Unpost button next to the appropriate Job Board Posting vendor. Finally, click Save.
